Challenge

SwitchCo Projects are a successful client-side project management company who historically relied on word of mouth to deliver them more business. They realised that in order to take the business to the next level, they must reach beyond their current client base. The niche nature of the audience combined with the challenges around engaging B2B (business to business) audiences meant there was a risk of wasting money reaching the wrong audiences.

Strategy

Starting from working with the executive team, it was clear we needed to understand their business before recommending any approach. By incorporating Discovery > Define > Deliver we made sure to work with the team to establish a brand strategy and positioning to permeate any paid activity as well as their on-site & SEO approach.

Approach

Both Short & Long term strategies were enabled. Short term being to create a net to catch all key decision makers who were ready to sign off on imminent projects that fell within their ideal target. Longer term, our media strategy focused on engaging new users very selectively to keep SwitchCo on their target audiences radar.

We also identified a need to create a customer feedback loops & to create a baseline for market orientation using a variety of research techniques.
