Lexlab founder Alfie Lagos shares how the agency has become a go-to partner for theatrical and home entertainment digital marketing. Lagos, with 19 years of experience, says he entered digital marketing to combine his love of tech with people skills. After completing a science degree, he moved into campaign planning and trafficking across platforms. He noticed that strategy and implementation were often siloed, one focusing on ideas, the other on execution. That gap became the foundation for Lexlab’s business model: “simplifying the whole digital advertising landscape,” Lagos says, to ensure campaigns are both smart and well-executed.

Film distribution became a major focus after Lexlab delivered impressive results on an international stadium tour. Following that success, distributors such as Monster Pictures engaged Lexlab to run multi-channel campaigns. Lagos explains their “3‑pronged” approach: first a testing phase using trailers to find key audiences; then a pre‑release push across video, social, display, and broadcast; and finally a ticket-conversion phase once cinemas open.

For filmmakers, Lagos advises creating trailers with early hooks and versions at 15 and 30 seconds to capture distracted audiences. He also teases upcoming innovations: in 2022 Lexlab will offer Movie Advertising Packages at events like Monster Fest, collaborate with film-service partners, and officially launch its LabLogic strategic planning tool. This proprietary platform learns from each campaign to continuously improve theatrical results.
